After the Chinese Grand Prix, Alex Albon refers to the Sky Sports F1 announcer as a “boring old man.”

David Croft’s views were ridiculed by Alex Albon following Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix.

After learning from Ted Kravitz that the voice of Formula One in the UK did not approve of his audacious panda-inspired helmet design for the Chinese Grand Prix, Alex Albon made light of the fact that Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft was “a boring old man.”

Following his partner Lily Muani He’s visit to a panda sanctuary in Chengdu, Albon unveiled a striking design for the Chinese GP. Underneath the visor was a smiling mouth, and above it were two enormous panda eyes set in black and white detail work. This is one of the most unique lids of the season thus far, and it made both fans and critics laugh.

Kravitz spoke with Albon during his Sky Sports F1 notebook section. “I’m curious as to what will happen to the panda helmet. Are you going to keep it? Your panda hat is the finest thing I’ve seen this weekend. What will transpire with it?

“Straight on eBay,” was Albon’s teasing reply, before he laughed. He said, “No, I’m kidding,” to Kravitz’s question, “It’s going to be pride and place? The highlight of your weekend was definitely your panda helmet.

Don’t overlook… According to Nico Rosberg A’stingy proposition’ has been made by Horner to replace Sergio Perez.

In response, the British-Thai driver said, “Thank you! Did Crofty voice any complaints about it? Surprised by the Williams star’s remark, Kravitz retaliated, saying, “He was! How were you aware of this? Did he specifically complain to you?

Albon clarified his reasoning by saying, “No, he didn’t. I am aware of his peculiar attachment to helmets. Putting aside his colleague’s dislike, Kravitz retorted, “I thought it was lovely!” But the Williams driver wasn’t done yet. He said, laughing, “He’s just a boring old man,” before entering the garage.

Unfortunately, Albon had little to celebrate at the Shanghai International Circuit, despite receiving a lot of attention and screen time for his helmet. Despite being ranked in P12, the 27-year-old made few attempts to finish in the top ten during the Grand Prix.

Logan Sargeant, his Williams teammate, qualified last and was placed last among the runners in P17 when the checkered flag fell in Shanghai, so there was even less to celebrate for him. The American’s troubles didn’t finish here, as he was penalised 10 seconds after the race for passing Nico Hulkenberg while the safety car was in the way.

In the end, Williams and James Vowles lost further ground to rival Haas, while Hulkenberg finished another strong qualifying run by taking the last point available. Three teams have not yet scored a point in 2024: Sauber, Alpine, and the Grove-based squad.
