Joe Mixon, Danielle Hunter, or Stefon Diggs?
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans stated, “I need some playmakers,” and general manager Nick Caserio listened.
Over the last several months, the Texans have added pro bowlers Joe Mixon, Danielle Hunter, and Stefon Diggs. Each is arguably an outstanding illustration of elite talent in their respective positions.
The Texans are the first team to acquire players that recorded these stats in the previous season:

Who do you believe will contribute the most to the 2024 Texans?
Running Back Joe Mixon
Mixon accumulated 6,412 yards on 1,571 attempts during seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s had four 1,000-yard seasons, including a career-high 1,205 yards in 2021 and 1,034 yards last season.
The bruising back has 49 running scores and 13 receiving touchdowns, with only one run of more over 50 yards. Mixon is clearly the most productive running back the Texans have had since Arian Foster’s prime.
The disadvantage: Mixon has had more than his fair share of off-field difficulties. After Deshaun Watson, this team should have zero tolerance for such behaviour. Everyone deserves a second shot, so the DeMeco Ryan-led locker room should have a good impact on Mixon’s second NFL season.
Great list
Joe Mixon had
More rushing yards than 9 RBs
More TDs than 8 RBs
More 1st downs than 10 RBs
0 fumblesYet isn’t on this list🤔🙎♂️
Not even capping cause bru on Texans now, but Joe Mixon is a Top 10 RB in this league https://t.co/Om8BMG0pAk pic.twitter.com/epShNzw6sM

EDGE Danielle Hunter
How can a 6’5″, 263-pound man fly under the radar? Is Hunter some kind of ninja? Not like Antonio Smith, but he’s just as damaging to opposition offences. Actually, more so.
Hunter had 462 combined tackles, 316 solo stops, 108 tackles for loss, and 87.5 sacks throughout his eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. That’s a metric #$%#tonne of production from a man whose name isn’t as frequently mentioned on Sportscenter as other defenders.
He’ll probably get a lot more attention now. And with last year’s first-round choice Will Anderson Jr. eager to learn everything he can from Hunter, the pro bowler’s legacy is all but secure.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs, an all-pro wideout, is likely the most intriguing yet divisive addition to the Texans’ 2024 roster. Diggs, a former Viking, has done anything but fly under the radar.
After five seasons in Minnesota and four more in Buffalo, the talented pass catcher found himself once again as mayor of Persona Non Grataville, with the Bills basically abandoning him in H-Town for a handful of magic beans and a few HEB Buddy Bucks.
Diggs immediately takes the lead in an already strong wide receiver group. During his nine seasons, the erratic athlete has caught 810 passes on 1178 attempts, amassed 9,995 yards, and scored 67 touchdowns while impressing and disappointing two fan bases.
I know a passionate, knowledgeable football fan who grew up in Buffalo and now resides in Minneapolis. He’s been watching Diggs his entire career. I ran into him the other day and asked his opinion on Diggs and the Texans. His response was something along the lines of, “He’ll do great for Houston this season, but the novelty will wear off and it will turn south.” This is what happened with the Vikings and the Bills. He’s always fantastic in his first season, but Houston should get rid of him before he infects the locker room.”
As if on cue, this is the first tweet that appeared when searching X for “Stefan Diggs”:
Stefan Diggs is always excited about his new team for a year.

With everything in mind, 2024 has the potential to be the best offensive season in Texans history. Let us hope so.
