The Eagles appear keen in retaining the great for a long time.
The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be in talks about signing a big contract.
Recently, there have been rumours regarding the future of star wide receiver A.J. Brown, which has put Philadelphia in the news. Prior to the 2022 season, the Eagles traded for Brown from the Tennessee Titans, and he has shown to be the best addition to the team.
Although Brown was already regarded as a superb receiver prior to joining the Eagles, he has elevated his game. He is currently regarded as one of the top receivers in football after accumulating just around 1,500 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons.
Although his current contract expires in 2026, Eagles insider Howard Eskin of the 94WIP Morning Show claims that the two parties have explored a deal that would keep him with the team longer.
“I have kind of heard different things that — whether it is preliminary discussions — they are thinking about a new contract for A.J. Brown,” Eskin stated. “They’re considering giving A.J. Brown an extension, not trading him. They have already begun discussing an extension with A.J. Brown’s agent.”
Due to rumours that teams have contacted the Eagles about a potential deal, Brown has recently been in the news. Trade requests have been turned down by Philadelphia, and it appears that the team has no intention of letting Brown leave anytime soon.
Even while there is currently no agreement reached, the fact that the parties have begun to consider a new contract is very encouraging.
