Safety of Ex-Bills Josh Allen receives a 4-word message from Jordan Poyer

Jordan Poyer claims he’s prepared to face his old team, the Buffalo Bills, even if it means facing Josh Allen in an open-field confrontation after seven seasons with the franchise.

Poyer signed a one-year contract with the rival Miami Dolphins after being released by the Bills in March as a result of cap reductions. This week, the All-Pro safety and former Bills player Eric Wood discussed what it will be like to play his old team twice in the next season on a podcast.

The safety had a warning for his former teammate, Allen, when Wood questioned Poyer if he would be able to take Allen out in a one-on-one.

Without a doubt, Poyer replied. “I’m engaged in football.”

While joking that nobody wants to watch a 6-foot-5, 250-pound quarterback sprint towards them in the open field, Poyer stated that he trusted his gut feelings in the event that the circumstance should arise the following season.

Love for Buffalo is Shared by Jordan Poyer
Despite being released in March, Poyer has made it apparent that he still feels animosity against the Bills. During an April 10 interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Poyer expressed his gratitude for his time in Buffalo but also his excitement for the new opportunity in Miami.

Poyer remarked, “I mean, I loved my time out there because I was released in Buffalo.” I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it; it allowed me to grow, learn, and interact with my family, friends, and kid. She has a great deal of regard and affection for Buffalo because she grew up there. However, I’m looking forward to my fresh beginnings in South Florida and the chance to play football with their club. I’m only here to lend a hand and try to assist us get past this obstacle.

Poyer continued, saying he was “prepared for the worst” because the team was facing a severe salary limit crisis going into the offseason and that he recognised that the NFL is a business. The Bills ultimately parted ways with a number of important players and seasoned veterans, like as centre Mitch Morse and cornerback Tre’Davious White.

Regarding Poyer’s release, some people close to him were less than tactful. Poyer’s brother harshly criticised Bills general manager Brandon Beane on social media shortly after his release. On X, Jeremiah Poyer wrote, “lol welp. bombs out! What a moron he is, lol.

Jordan Meyer Looking Forward to the Next Chance
Poyer expressed his appreciation for the Dolphins after witnessing their recent rebuilding, and he expressed his excitement about playing for head coach Mike McDaniel in the upcoming season.

Poyer remarked, “I’ve been able to watch them grow as a football team, obviously, being in the AFC East for seven years.” “Just paying attention to Mike, but I know quite a few others on that squad who have helped me with my transition as well. He is a very respected instructor and a wonderful person in my opinion. His off-field tale has had a similar effect on me and my story. All of that was taken into consideration when deciding to travel to Miami, but it was made easier by the fact that I resided in South Florida during the off-season.
