Several developments later, however, the Merseysiders have rerouted and now look to prefer Feyenoord’s Arne Slot.

Portuguese football source Pedro Sepulveda has since tweeted on X (previously Twitter) that the Reds are unwilling to accept the 39-year-old’s salary demands. As a result, talks are expected to fail, with the understanding that ‘the next days will be decisive’.
❗️@LFC informed Rúben’s Amorim agent that they will not pay £10 million net per year and the Portuguese coach doesn’t want to accept less than that. The deal can collapse.

Unfortunately, Slot is similarly remarkable.
It’s a tragedy to potentially miss out on a player with Amorim’s ability because of budgetary constraints.
On paper, however, it is encouraging to think that the Portuguese head coach and Slot likely have nothing in common as Liverpool managing possibilities.
Both have minimal experience in less formidable leagues than the English top division, changing their respective countries’ title races into three-horse races.
Both choices provide attractive, aggressive football, and the two appear to be equally charismatic in their own ways.
There is additional proof of the ability to work despite severe financial limits, which will undoubtedly translate to our situation in England.
