Cheetah is infatuated with the metropolis, and the sentiment is reciprocated.
We understand that everyone is still buzzing about Odell Beckham Jr. and the Miami Dolphins reaching an agreement. It’s a thrilling addition to both Mike McDaniel’s offence and the wide receivers room. But let’s not lose sight of the fact that Tyreek Hill is Tua Tagovailoa’s preferred wide receiver.
With the Dolphins for the last two seasons, Hill has been nothing short of extraordinary. Although it’s unclear if Hill will actually retire after the 2025 season, he has previously stated that was his intention. Hill made it apparent that he has no intention of playing for anyone else, regardless of how long he would continue to do so. His ultimate goal is to hang up his cleats in his beloved Miami.
Tyreek Hill reiterates his desire to play out his retirement with the Dolphins
“I would like to retire in Miami, but we all know how the NFL is, how jobs go, and people getting promotions over here and — you know — we understand that. But Miami is a great city, man. I love the team I play on, love the guys in the locker room, love the head coach, love the GM. So that means sign me. I love all you guys so much, I want to stay in Miami forever, man. Keep me there.”
Some of you may get upset upon seeing those remarks made by Hill during his appearance on the Around the Bar Podcast, and we completely understand that. In fact, Hill has been entertaining to watch as he has made history with Miami in the last two seasons. He was fantastic for the AFC East team in 2023, hauling in 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those are speedster-style numerals, akin to those in video games.
Hill has also earned First Team All-Pro recognition in back-to-back seasons, something he thoroughly deserves. We’ll soon discover how unique he will be in 2024 when he holds the ball. It’s a lot of fun to have Beckham join the WRs group, and Hill will have a great time there. Opposing defences will have their hands full attempting to slow down this Miami aerial onslaught when Jaylen Waddle is added to the mix.
