Tiger Woods was accused but he explains the circumstances around his accusation

Recently, Tiger Woods caused quite a commotion in the golf world when he declined to captain the United States team in the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Following the news that Keegan Bradley would captain the U.S. team, the golf legend discussed his choice.

Woods stated, “I felt like I would not be able to commit the time to Team USA and the players required as a captain because of my new responsibilities to the Tour and the time commitments involved.” That does not imply that I would never wish to be a team captain again. I will throw my hat in the ring for this committee to determine when I feel it is appropriate.”

The PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe are in charge of organizing the Ryder Cup. It involves a match that is slated for September 26–28, 2025, between the best golfers in the United States and Europe.

Throughout the 2024 PGA Tour season, Woods has taken part in four competitions. He withdrew his name from the Genesis Invitational after finishing two strokes over par in his opening game of the year.

The Masters, U.S. Open, and PGA Championship were the golf legend’s last three major tournaments. Despite missing the cut in the PGA Championship and U.S. Open, 48-year-old Woods was awarded a $44,000 reward at The Masters.

Many people thought that Woods would captain the American Ryder Cup team, but the seasoned player clarified that his present priorities are the PGA Tour.
