Commenting on Nelly Korda’s Historic Win at the Chevron Championship on Social Media

Many are talking about the world number one’s amazing run of form and her most recent victory.

After winning the Chevron Championship, there is no tradition like jumping into the water. Never one to let anyone down, Nelly Korda took the risk after achieving yet another triumph.

Korda could have been forgiven for starting in a swimsuit on the last day of competition, considering how effortless the World No. 1 has been making the game look in recent weeks.

This was the American’s second Major Championship victory and her fifth consecutive event win.

She remarked, “It felt like the longest back nine of my life.” “I’m glad to have won, even though the last nine holes were a little tough.

“On the back nine, I could clearly feel the nerves getting the better of me. It’s significant. Lifting that big trophy is something I’ve always wanted since I was a tiny child. As I mentioned before, I’m finally able to relax and savour the moment because I was genuinely anxious. I’m feeling really ill.

Annika Sorenstam (2005) and Nancy Lopez (1978) are the only other players to have won five straight LPGA events.

People were quick to commend the 25-year-old Korda after his amazing accomplishment, as he finished in style with a birdie on the last hole.

Luke Donald, the captain of the European Ruder Cup and a former World No. 1 who understands consistency, was quick to congratulate Korda.
