It’s time to take a first look at which prospects may go where on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Round 1 saw five transactions, although only one of them featured a pick in Round 2. The Bills traded back twice, from No. 28 to No. 32 with the Chiefs and then to No. 33 with the Panthers, with Carolina moving into the late first round to draft wide receiver Xavier Legette
That means that this simulated draft order closely resembles what it looked like when it entered the draft. There are numerous highly regarded prospects available, including Cooper DeJean, who is my third-ranked cornerback and number 19 overall. The wide receiver class is robust, and several players, including Adonai Mitchell, Ladd McConkey, and Keon Coleman, are ranked in the Scouts Inc. top 40 and could make an immediate impact as rookies. Can they find early landing sites on Friday night?
Let’s look at my mock draft of how Round 2 will play out, from Nos. 33 to 64. This projection is based solely on fit and necessity, as well as how each team can fill roster vacancies. I’m not going to try to foresee deals, even if we know a handful will disrupt the sequence. It is even feasible that Buffalo will trade back from the No. 33 pick.
